“You’re looking for three things in a person: intelligence, energy, and integrity. And if they don’t have the last one, don’t even bother with the first two.”
-Warren Buffett
Alexandra Pretto, Founder & Marketer
Hi, I’m Alex.
I’m originally from Houston and now based in San Diego, with time spent living in Austin, Boston and Seattle. That mix has given me a broad perspective on different markets and communities.
I’ve spent 10+ years in marketing, focused on digital advertising and performance marketing. Over that time, I’ve worked with agencies and businesses of all sizes—from solo founders to enterprise brands—across industries like automotive, CPG, fashion, restaurants, B2B, and nonprofits.
I’ve also worked across SEO, organic social, and email/SMS, so my real focus is building and optimizing ad systems that drive consistent, long-term growth. I especially enjoy working with local and small businesses that are ready to scale.
At its core, I see marketing should be a well-built machine—something that, when done right, becomes a reliable engine for growth rather than just short-term wins.
What excites me most is solving meaningful problems and turning strategy into measurable impact. I genuinely enjoy learning each client’s business and helping great products and services get the visibility they deserve.

How “Good Patron” got it’s name
One morning at a local farmers market, I found myself going stall to stall, asking founders how they got their start and learning the stories behind their products. I left with heavy bags.
On the way home, my husband laughed and called me a “good patron.” The name stuck.
“Beyond the results, what stood out was the level of thoughtfulness and partnership. It never felt one-size-fits-all, everything was tailored to our brand and where we were in our growth. It was a highly collaborative process, and they brought both strategic clarity and strong execution.”
